NNPCL declares N7.2trn profit for 2025

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reported a profit after tax of N7.2 trillion for 2025, according to the company's 2025 Audited Financial Statement presented on Tuesday. Group Chief Executive Officer Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari said the profit was derived from N34.5 trillion in revenue generated during the year and represented an increase of over 30 per cent compared with 2024. He noted that total revenue dropped by N10.6 trillion from the N45.1 trillion recorded in 2025, while the company paid N22.3 trillion in taxes, royalties and remittances to the Federal Government. NNPCL produced an average of 1.77 million barrels per day of crude oil and 7.2 billion standard cubic feet per day of gas, compared with N5.76 trillion generated in 2024.
