The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University (TSU), Jalingo Branch, has granted a two-week extension requested by the Taraba State Government to resolve outstanding demands and implement the 2025 Federal Government-ASUU agreement. The extension temporarily averted a planned shutdown of academic activities after the union's previous strike notice expired on Monday, September 28. ASUU-TSU Branch Chairman Dr Joshua Garba Mbave said the extension followed formal communication from the state government requesting more time. Mbave added that the branch consulted the national leadership and held an emergency congress where members unanimously resolved to grant the 14-day window.
