The Ekiti State Government has warned residents against crossing flooded roads, bridges, streams, and other water channels due to heavy rainfall causing flooding in parts of the state. The warning, issued by Commissioner for Information Taiwo Olatunbosun, specifically cautioned motorists, commercial transport operators, motorcycle riders, and pedestrians against underestimating floodwaters. It followed recent heavy rainfall in Ado-Ekiti and other areas, which resulted in flooding and affected properties, businesses, and livelihoods. Olatunbosun expressed sympathy to affected residents and urged extreme caution during heavy rainfall.
