The House of Representatives resumed plenary on Tuesday after a 68-day recess but adjourned further sittings until October 13, 2026. Lawmakers had last sat on July 23 before the annual recess and were initially scheduled to resume on September 15, but the National Assembly extended the break by two weeks to September 29 to allow for rehabilitation work in the chambers. The House reconvened on September 29 but adjourned again, meaning lawmakers will spend another two weeks away from plenary.
