The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has lamented the continued attacks, killings, and abduction of teachers and pupils, urging governments to strengthen security in schools. NUT President Comrade Audu Titus Amba made the call during the union's 59th National Conference of Delegates in Enugu. He also urged states and the FCT to fully implement the Harmonised Retirement Age for Teachers Act, 2022, and sought the integration of Early Childhood Education into public primary schools.
