At least six countries have purchased or are in the process of buying the US-made Merops counter-drone system, according to a US defense official. Most of the buyers are NATO countries on the Eastern flank. The system has been used effectively by Ukraine against Russian drones. NATO is seeking to strengthen its borders with counter-drone technology amid repeated airspace violations.
