Iyabo Obasanjo raises alarm over campaign attack

Senator Iyabo Obasanjo has raised an alarm over renewed threats to her life following an attack on a PDP campaign gathering in Abeokuta, Ogun State. She said the attack occurred on Monday at Ward 16, Trailer Park, Soyooye area of Abeokuta North Local Government Area. Obasanjo, the PDP candidate for Ogun Central Senatorial District, called on the United Nations, the US Embassy, and the international community to note the threats to her life and the integrity of the January 2027 elections. She spoke in an interview with Splash FM after videos circulated online showing masked men allegedly armed with cutlasses dismantling campaign materials.
