The Allied Peoples Movement has called on the World Bank and other international lenders to withhold President Bola Tinubu's fresh $1.5 billion loan request. The party described the APC administration as 'squandermaniac' and condemned the attempt to further mortgage the future of Nigerians, citing the over N166.7 trillion debt accumulated under the administration. In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, the party said it is unacceptable that the administration is borrowing despite trillions of naira from petrol subsidy removal, with nothing to show apart from weakening the naira and crippling the productive sector.
