Amnesty International has condemned the detention of five men by the Borno State Police Command for wearing T-shirts with the inscription 'Tinubu Must Go' in Maiduguri. The men were reportedly remanded in prison for intending to cause a breach of public peace. Amnesty International stated that wearing a T-shirt expressing peaceful political dissent should not be a criminal offence. The statement could not be independently verified.
