Advanced Micro Devices announced on Monday its acquisition of World Labs, an AI startup founded by Fei-Fei Li, in an all-stock deal valued at $8.2 billion. The purchase adds to a series of major tech acquisitions this year, including SpaceX's purchase of Cursor, Nvidia's acquisition of Hugging Face, and Stripe's acquisition of OpenRouter. Andreessen Horowitz, which was World Labs' largest shareholder with nearly 14% ownership, is set to benefit from the sale. Meanwhile, health-tracking wearable company Oura has delayed its IPO, previously expected later this week, citing market uncertainty.
