Makinde Clueless, Embarrassment to Oyo, Says Alli Campaign Organisation

The Senator Sharafadeen Alli Campaign Organisation has described Oyo State Governor and Allied Peoples Movement (APM) presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, as "clueless" and "a total embarrassment" to the people of the state over his comments on increased allocations from the Federation Account and persistent hunger. The organisation made the assertion in a statement by its Director of Media and Publicity, Bisi Oladele, following Makinde's remarks in Lafia, Nasarawa State, where he acknowledged that Oyo State had been receiving more money from the Federation Account but said the increase had not translated into a reduction in hunger. Oladele said Makinde's admission of increased federal allocation was an indication of the impact of the economic reform policies of the federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
