Atiku to Tinubu: Publish Details of Nigeria’s $5bn Health Deal with US

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar challenged the federal government to publish the full text of Nigeria's recent $5 billion health agreement with the United States. He raised concerns over medical records, pathogen samples, funding obligations, and the inspection of imported medicines, following Ghana's rejection of a similar US health compact. Ghana's President John Mahama disclosed that the rejection came after its Ministry of Health flagged provisions related to health data, counterpart funding, and the regulatory authority of the Food and Drugs Authority. Atiku urged President Tinubu to follow President Mahama's example.
