Nigeria will host the Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) Weekend 2026, aiming to transform the creative economy into a stronger engine of trade, investment, exports, and job creation. Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, announced that the four-day event will feature programs in music, film, fashion, gastronomy, literature, visual arts, sports, and technology, along with investment and market-access engagements. The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment is collaborating with other ministries and institutions, including foreign affairs, finance, customs, immigration, and the Central Bank of Nigeria. Lagos State will deploy health, traffic, and emergency measures for 10,000 participants, and all 36 states will showcase culture, products, and investment opportunities.
