Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, revealed how he persuaded Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He said both politicians had reservations about Atiku Abubakar's presence in the coalition and preferred a consensus arrangement. Lawal also claimed he quit the ADC after manipulation of its presidential primary. He further stated that he drove Tinubu's 2022 campaign strategy and that Buhari had suspicions about Tinubu in 2023.
