The Managing Director of the Bank of Industry (BoI), Dr. Olasupo Olusi, announced that the bank disbursed N645 billion to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in 2025, impacting about 1.6 million jobs. He made the disclosure in Abuja at the 3rd BOI 2026 Annual Public Lecture themed 'Rethinking Capital for Inclusive Economic Transformation.' Olusi said the lecture series, established in 2024, serves as a platform for discussing Nigeria's economic and industrial development. He emphasized the need for capital that supports long-term industrial growth and reaches underserved businesses.
