A lawyer in Kano, Hamisu Dandago, has been arraigned before a Kano court over alleged forgery and dissemination of false information. Dandago denied the allegations and was accused of preparing a document in the name of a company and presenting it before the court in an attempt to withdraw a case. His counsel, Barrister Danjuma Hussaini, applied for bail, and the prosecution counsel, Barrister A'isha Bashir Minjibir, did not oppose the application. Magistrate Haulatu Magaji Kankarofi granted the defendant bail, with a condition that his sureties would forfeit N500,000 each if he jumped bail.
