The Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) PLC announced that its National Payment Stack surpassed 100 million successful transactions last Friday. The platform is built on full compliance with the ISO 20022 global messaging standard, which supports interoperability, straight-through processing and richer data for transparency and fraud monitoring. NIBSS said the milestone reflects the platform's impact across banks, microfinance banks, fintechs, mobile money operators and payment service providers.
