The Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) has inaugurated an eight-member Conflict Prevention Council in Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. The council is intended to strengthen community-led mechanisms for early warning, mediation, and conflict prevention in the oil-producing community. The inauguration is part of efforts to foster peace and stability in the region.
