Sharafadeen Alli, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, has pledged not to spend local government funds if elected in 2027. He made this commitment during a dialogue on Oyo State's future organized by the Oyo Rising Citizens Forum in Ibadan. Alli promised full autonomy for the 33 local governments starting May 29, 2027, allowing them to control their resources. He also presented an agenda covering local government administration, education, healthcare, workers' welfare, infrastructure, and economic development.
