Morocco has appointed Fatima Zahra El Mansouri as its first female prime minister. The 50-year-old politician was selected by King Mohammed VI after her centrist Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) won the most seats in last week's parliamentary elections. She was chosen ahead of Fouzi Lekjaa, the country's football chief and a senior politician in the same party.
