Hundreds of people gathered in Washington, DC, for a pro-data center party called Data after Dark, held at Pubkey, a bitcoin-themed bar. The event featured AI art, themed cocktails, and a generally optimistic atmosphere about the future of data centers. Attendees waited in the rain to enter, and a VIP room sponsored by AI company Cognitio hosted a live jazz trio. The gathering took place amid ongoing protests and local disputes over data centers across the country, though a few protesters were reportedly removed from the event.
