Clio, a legal technology company last valued at $5 billion, has acquired Learned Hand, a startup that builds AI tools for judges and law clerks. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Learned Hand was founded by Shlomo Klapper, who previously worked at Palantir and attended law school before joining Quinn Emanuel. The acquisition deepens Clio's push into the courts, a segment that other legal tech startups have largely overlooked.
