Marketing and branding professionals have advised Meta to embrace its new AI agent mascot, Jolly, despite cynical reactions from some observers. Gary Stibel, CEO of the New England Consulting Group, said the mascot will become familiar over time and serve as a bridge to safety, reliability, and efficiency. Jolly did not appear in Meta's launch TV ad for Muse, which instead showed a woman preparing a meal while Muse handled background tasks. The mascot has drawn comparisons to a "Surveillance Tamagotchi" and other critical hot takes.
