Mukuru, a Pan-African fintech with over 17 million customers, has launched the Mukuru Account & Card in South Africa. The product is offered in partnership with Bank Zero as the licensed sponsor bank and is enabled by Paymentology and Mastercard. It builds on Mukuru's remittance and card services, allowing customers to receive salaries, make local payments, shop, and send money across borders without relying on multiple providers. Customers can send EFTs and real-time payments to any bank in South Africa, receive incoming EFT payments faster, and spend up to R150,000 per month.
