The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced the declaration in a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Magdalene Ajani. The minister congratulated Nigerians and urged them to reflect on the nation's journey since independence and renew their commitment to unity, peace, and prosperity. He also emphasized the importance of peace and stability for national development and called on citizens to emulate the patriotism of the founding fathers.
