National Library in Nasarawa laments 14-year power outage

The Nasarawa State Branch of the National Library of Nigeria has decried the lack of electricity supply to its Lafia facility for over 14 years. Head of the branch, Mrs Angela Anya, disclosed this in an interview, stating that electricity is critical for research, learning, and record preservation. She noted the prolonged outage has negatively affected operations and services. The library also faces challenges including lack of internet connectivity and inadequate bookshelves. Anya appealed to the state government, corporate organisations, and individuals for support.
