The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appealed to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) over the annulment of Edo Queens' WAFU-B title. The appeal, dated September 28 and signed by NFF Deputy Secretary-General Emmanuel Ikpeme, questions the legality and fairness of the decision. CAF had annulled Edo Queens' 4-1 penalty-shootout victory over Ampem Darkoa Ladies, ruling that the September 5 final should have included 30 minutes of extra time before penalties, following a protest by the Ghana Football Association. The NFF argues that Edo Queens should not suffer sporting consequences for an error made by match officials.
