Citadel Securities has warned that the United States could lose its AI advantage to China due to energy constraints. The firm's head of EMEA fixed income sales, Nohshad Shah, noted that while China's AI models may be less capable, its more robust physical infrastructure could give it an edge. The US power grid is seen as a bottleneck that might hinder AI development. China is poised to massively expand its domestic generating capacity.
