The Federal Government has stated that it cannot afford to gamble with Nigeria's energy security, describing it as an integral part of the country's national economic security. Vice President Kashim Shettima made this statement at the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Ultra-Modern National Control Centre building project in Osogbo, Osun State. Shettima, represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Legal Matters, Bashir Maidugu, emphasised the link between energy security and national economic security. The Power Minister targets 200GW by 2060.
