A Lagos court has sentenced a Chinese woman, Kiaon, to two years in prison for drug trafficking. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) charged her with being caught with 31 kilograms of cannabis sativa on her arrival in Nigeria through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Ikeja Lagos on 17th May 2026. The one-count charge was filed by NDLEA prosecutor Cyril Osaigbovo. The court found her guilty and handed down the sentence.
