The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has launched an enforcement operation to dislodge illegal street traders occupying road corridors and walkways around Tafawa Balewa Square, Costain Under Bridge, and the National Theatre axis. The operation was carried out in collaboration with the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) Corps. LAWMA Managing Director Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin said the exercise aims to restore environmental order, curb public nuisance, and ease vehicular and pedestrian movement. He urged traders to relocate to government-approved markets.
