A tour in connection with Tourism Day was organized to historical and strategic sites in the Southern Dankalia sub-zone in the Southern Red Sea Region. Participants included Government and PFDJ employees and members of social service provision institutions. The tour covered Rahaita, which preserves cultural heritage aged hundreds of years, and Ras-Dumera Mountain. Mr. Ise Ahmed, Director General of Tourism in the region, said the objective was to enable participants to gain profound knowledge about the country's historical and strategic sites through domestic tourism and to play their part in their preservation.
