Enugu leads as four states cut domestic debt by over 20% in six months

An analysis of data from the Debt Management Office shows that four states reduced their domestic debt by more than 20 percent over a six-month period. The states are Enugu, Jigawa, Ondo and Zamfara. The reductions occurred between December 2025 and June 2026. Enugu recorded the largest decrease among the four states.
