Federal workers have expressed support for organised labour's demand to reduce the pump price of petrol to ₦500 per litre by September 30. In a communiqué issued after an online general meeting, the Federal Workers Forum (FWF) warned that its members are prepared to join a three-day warning strike if the government does not act. The communiqué was signed by National Coordinator Andrew Emelieze and General Secretary Ogundele Ayodele. The forum unanimously agreed that all federal workers should fully back the calls by the Joint National Public Service Negotiation Council (JNPSNC).
