The article reports on the tragic death of Igbu Job Terhemen, the chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Fiidi Council Ward in Benue State. He was found dead after being attacked by unknown assailants in the early hours of Wednesday. Terhemen had gone out on Tuesday evening to watch a local football match but did not return home. His friends became worried when he was missing and began searching for him. He was discovered around 2:00 AM in a bush near his home, tied up and in a serious condition, unable to speak. It appears he had been injected with a substance believed to be poisonous. Sadly, he died before receiving medical help. Interestingly, despite the violent nature of the attack, his attackers did not steal his phone, which was found with him later. The state chairman of the NDC condemned the murder, calling it an act of "broad-daylight evil," and urged law enforcement to investigate and bring those responsible to justice. The NDC expressed their condolences to Terhemen's family and community, mourning the loss of a dedicated member. The police have not yet received an official report about the incident.
