Public institutions in Nigeria are being encouraged to openly share information to help fight against false information. This call was made during a conference in Lagos, organized by the Media Rights Agenda and the International Press Centre, in celebration of the International Day for Universal Access to Information. The participants highlighted that keeping information secret and not following Nigeria's laws on transparency makes it easier for misinformation to spread.
