The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) in Lagos has started building a new commercial hub and secretariat worth about ₦800 million. This project aims to create a source of income for the association, reducing its reliance on fees from members. The construction is taking place at 3 Ogunbanwo Street in Ketu-Alapere and is expected to be finished in three years. So far, ₦150 million has been spent on buying the land and other initial costs, with the construction itself estimated to cost around ₦650 million. The total cost might reach ₦1 billion as the project progresses. The chairman of ACPN Lagos, Pharm. Tolu Ajayi, emphasized that this new facility will not just serve as an office but will also help fund the association's activities. The project is seen as a long-term investment for community pharmacy in Lagos, providing a stable identity and home for the ACPN. It will include multiple floors with various facilities like parking, offices, a boardroom, and seminar rooms. The leaders of the association are calling for support from professionals to ensure the project's success.
