The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has launched a new digital system called the Electronic Memo (e-Memo) Portal to improve how it operates. This change aims to make processes faster, reduce errors, and eliminate delays that happen with paper-based methods. Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director of NDDC, was introduced to the e-Memo system at the NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt. He said this digital move is important for transforming how the organization works, helping to ensure that important documents can be processed quickly and efficiently. The NDDC has already trained its directors on this new system, and more staff will be trained soon. The goal is to fully embrace this digital workflow to make the organization run better. The Director of Information Technology and Innovation, Mr. Emeka Ani, explained that the e-Memo Portal started operating on September 22, 2026, and it will help manage official documents more efficiently. Overall, this digital initiative shows NDDC's commitment to using technology to improve its operations and better serve the people in the Niger Delta region. Additionally, Ogbuku received an Award of Excellence from a union for his leadership and contributions to the region's development.
