UK-backed Mars rover to drill planet for signs of life before 2030 landing

A new Mars rover called Rosalind Franklin, supported by the UK, is planned to launch in 2028 and land on Mars in 2030. Its main job will be to drill into the surface of Mars to search for signs of life.
