The article discusses a heated exchange between Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment, and Gbadamosi Babatunde, a political candidate. Wahab posted a video of himself and officials cleaning up waste in Lagos, which led Gbadamosi to criticize the government's waste management efforts. He questioned whether Wahab planned to clean every area personally and accused the government of neglecting the refuse problem, calling it "performative misgovernance." Gbadamosi urged Lagos residents to join him and another candidate in improving the city's situation, expressing frustration over the ongoing waste issues. In response, Wahab dismissed Gbadamosi's comments, saying he wouldn't give him the attention he seeks and accused him of failing to manage a small estate properly. The exchange highlights ongoing concerns about waste management in Lagos and reflects the political tensions regarding the issue.
