The Kwankwasiyya Movement, which supports Rabiu Kwankwaso, has announced that it will fight against intimidation and harassment in Kano State using legal and peaceful methods, rather than violence. They are responding to reports from Amnesty International about the arrest and mistreatment of critics of the state government. The group is particularly concerned about the ongoing detention of a man named Abba Ibrahim Kofar Nasarawa, who has been in jail since August. Although he was granted bail, the conditions set for his release have made it difficult for him to get out. In their statement, the Kwankwasiyya Movement emphasized that they will continue to use lawful means to address these issues, such as petitions and legal action, and they urged the government and judiciary to respect citizens' rights and ensure fair treatment in court. They also encouraged their supporters to remain peaceful and law-abiding.
