On September 23, 2026, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, the Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), met with Her Excellency Mrs. Koumba Diop, the Ambassador of Guinea to Thailand, and Mrs. Saowapha Wangphasit, the Honorary Consul of Guinea. They discussed how to improve cooperation between Thailand and Guinea, focusing on providing scholarships for Thai educational programs. This cooperation has been in place since 2012 when both countries signed an agreement. Mr. Narinthrangura also mentioned Thailand's commitment to supporting African countries and talked about a possible visit to Guinea by a TICA team, which had been previously mentioned by Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister.
