The Obidient Movement has made some important changes in its leadership. They congratulated Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the former National Coordinator, on his new role as Special Adviser to Peter Obi, who is running for president with the Nigeria Democratic Congress. Tanko's new job will focus on boosting support for the campaign in Northern Nigeria. Dr. Moses Paul has been appointed as the new National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement. This decision came after a meeting with Obi on September 30, 2026. Tanko expressed gratitude for the support he received during his time as coordinator and highlighted his efforts to strengthen the movement's organization. Under Tanko's leadership, the Obidient Movement established offices in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, created regional coordinators, and improved grassroots engagement. They also launched digital initiatives, such as a website and a system to monitor election results. Moses Paul thanked the movement's leaders for his appointment and promised to continue building on what Tanko started. He emphasized the movement's commitment to leadership that focuses on the people, national unity, and accountability as they prepare for the 2027 elections. The movement expressed confidence that these changes would enhance their effectiveness and community involvement.
