In a recent attack in Babban Saura, a community in Kaduna State, Nigeria, armed bandits killed a man named Sikiru and kidnapped his wife, two children, and six other people. The attack happened around 1 PM on a Thursday, causing fear among the residents. The bandits first broke into the home of an elderly man, taking two of his children, and then moved to Sikiru's house, where they killed him while he tried to fight them off. They also abducted a woman and her four children from a nearby house. Fortunately, soldiers and local vigilantes later rescued the woman, but her children are still missing. Local vigilante leader Usman Adamu confirmed that nine people were taken during the attack and that they quickly alerted the soldiers, who joined in the search for the bandits. Despite their efforts, the attackers managed to escape with the remaining victims. The situation has left the community in shock, and many people gathered to mourn Sikiru. This incident follows another recent attack in a nearby community, highlighting ongoing security concerns in the area. Attempts to get a comment from the police were unsuccessful.
