The Allied People’s Movement (APM) has expressed that as Nigeria celebrates its 66th Independence Day, citizens deserve the benefits of democracy, such as security and good governance, rather than suffering from hardships and unfulfilled promises. The party, led by Dr. Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, highlighted the resilience of Nigerians in the face of political, economic, and social challenges. APM emphasized that the upcoming 2027 elections are a chance for Nigerians to choose leaders who prioritize the country's needs and address issues like insecurity and economic struggles. They called for fair and transparent elections, urging everyone to respect the people's choices. The party also recognized the contributions of Nigeria’s founding fathers in achieving independence from British rule and stressed the importance of unity in diversity. APM pointed out that despite Nigeria's rich resources, many citizens continue to face difficulties, which they see as unacceptable in a democratic society. They are on a mission to improve the country and invite citizens to support their movement and candidates in the next election.
