Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat and African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour clashed over the standards of public schools in Lagos during a town hall meeting on Thursday. Rhodes-Vivour described the dominance of private schools over public schools as an indictment of successive administrations and called for heavier investment in public education. Hamzat rejected the criticism, pointing to the achievements of Lagos students and professionals.
