The British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation has commissioned a 20,000-litre solar-powered borehole in Gidan Na-Ari Community, Ringim LGA, Jigawa State. This ends years of dependence on distant communities for potable water, as residents, especially women and children, previously traveled several kilometres to fetch water. The project aims to address water scarcity in the area.
