Terrorists hijacked two 18-seater buses and kidnapped passengers, including 19 prospective corps members, along the Owerri-Onitsha expressway in Imo State. The buses were traveling from Ibadan to Uyo and Bende when they were attacked at the Umunoha axis. The terrorists marched the passengers into the bush before security men arrived. One victim's mother said her son was going to serve in Abia State when the incident occurred.
