The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has called on President Bola Tinubu to compel the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to revive government-owned refineries before the January 16, 2027 election. PETROAN said the return of the refineries to sustainable production would deepen competition in the downstream market and strengthen energy security. The association made the call as part of efforts to improve the petroleum sector.
