American singer Chris Brown has reached a $9.5 million settlement with former housekeeper Maria Avila, who suffered serious injuries after being mauled by his dog at his Los Angeles home. Avila accepted the reduced payout to end the long-running legal battle stemming from the December 2020 attack at Brown's residence in Tarzana. The settlement brings the case to a close.
